Eric Fullgraf’s Art of Leadership and Thoughts Captive classes are very lively this year. Students are excited and energized about the reading material. Some of the books that they are currently covering are: The Sea Wolf by Jack London, Walden by Henry David Thoreau, The Space Trilogy by C. S. Lewis, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austin and The Habit of Being by Flannery O’Connor. This year’s Art of Leadership 1 class features a great diversity of ages – one of Eric’s goals. The younger students have an opportunity to learn boldness by interacting with older students, and the older students learn patience and courtesy in helping the younger ones succeed with the reading, writing and speaking assignments. Bruce Kirby is teaching two adult classes. Thoughts Captive 1 is meeting in the home of Fred and Tammy Johnson in Plant City. The class appreciates the Johnson’s gracious hospitality. Their home is convenient for both Lakeland and Tampa students. Thoughts Captive 2 is meeting at the new study center facilities in Lakeland.
