About

Cambridge Study Center: AboutCambridge Study Center began in 1996 with one student and one teacher. It has grown into a study center that offers a co-educational, six year course of study known for its distinctive approach to liberal arts education. Cambridge serves the west central Florida community offering classes for middle school, high school, college and adult students. Many of these students are independent learners. Others use Cambridge classes to supplement their public and private school educations. And adults find Cambridge classes a stimulating resource for continuing their educations.

About Pull QuoteAll courses of study are based on the reading, study, and discussion of important books of the Western tradition, both old and recent. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary classes incorporating literature, the arts, Latin, Greek, science, math, rhetoric, government, economics and history. No textbooks are used and there are no required courses of study. Each student picks those classes that best address their needs and interests. All instructors use Parabolic Method, a discussion based method of education.

There is no other educational opportunity quite like Cambridge Study Center. The study center faculty endeavors to enable students to think “Christianly” while making intelligent choices concerning the ends and means of both public and private life. Through sustained engagement with the works of great thinkers and through genuine discussion with peers and instructors, students at Cambridge cultivate a habit of mind that will last a lifetime.

Cambridge students have been accepted at some of our most prestigious colleges and universities.

No one truth is rightly held till it is clearly conceived and stated, and no single truth is adequately comprehended till it is viewed in harmonious relations to all the other truths of the system of which Christ is the centre.  ~ A. A. Hodge
